It was a pleasure to show work at my first art fair in Aberdeen last weekend. Not only did I sell two paintings, but also made so many new contacts and learned lots from my neighbours. Also a great article in the Aberdeen Evening Express the night before the show opened, featuring an image of [...]
I have just handed over "The Red Ensign" to my first commission client. The brief was only - the red ensign flag - the flag of the Merchant Navy as he is a retired officer. I thought it was too obvious to put the flag on a ship but with my style of crowds and [...]
I am so pleased to have been accepted as an exhibitor at three art fairs... They are: 1. Aberdeen Art fair at the wonderfully restored Aberdeen Music Hall. Come and visit me Friday 30th August - Sunday September 1st 2. New Artist Fair at Brick Lane's Truman Brewery in London. Dates are Friday 13th - Sunday [...]
Delighted to be producing new works in my Dopamine series. This piece is called "Harvest Festival". I can now confirm that I will show works at two art fairs later in the year. The first is the Aberdeen Art Fair (30 Aug - 1 Sept) and then the Parallax Art Fair at Chelsea Old Town [...]
Delighted that my small new work, "All about Nick" has been well received at the owner's house near Biarritz, France. This new style focuses purely on my existing style of brushstrokes but using a range of specific colours to represent elements of the subject's life. Lots more to come!

I have been quiet for the last couple of months, partly because I have been on a long jury service (which continues), but also because my friend Jane encouraged me to paint a non-sporting picture. This has taken me weeks! So I now present “Flowers of Mogán”, a happy memory from Gran [...]
How appropriate that this piece has been consigned to the head of Catalonian Television in Barcelona.
Really happy that the painting "Uber Alles" has been consigned to the Frieder Burda Museum in Baden-Baden. Currently showing Banksy's half-shredded "Love is in the Bin", this demonstrates that Anglo-German relations are alive and well!
Very proud to have consigned "Waspish Overture" to Wooden Spoon, the amazing children's charity of Rugby and their annual auction to raise funds for this excellent charity that includes The Princess Royal and Phil Vickery among their trustees. Raising funds for Wooden Spoon Slightly amusing delivering a Wasps based painting to the offices at Saracens [...]
The Roar of The Crowd 3 was presented to Paul Taylor, elected Mayor of Watford Borough Council and welcomed into the town's art collection. The painting will hang for two weeks in the reception of the Town Hall before being permanently housed on the magnificently wood-panelled walls of the Mayor's parlour. Elected Mayor of Watford [...]
