Digital art is seen by many as the collectors’ mode of choice for the future, especially to a younger more tech-savvy generation.
Only yesterday, Christies sold their first digital artwork. By the artist Beeple, who had only sold prints up to $100, this collage of works forms one digital artwork that sold for over $69m with buyer’s commission!
So, could digital art be the future and could I be a part of it? My art is now available through Opensea in the form of NFTs (non-fungible tokens).
A purchaser can buy digital works by me through Opensea and with the security of the blockchain and additional owner-only information, can prove ownership and can trade the token and therefore the digital art.
