I have just handed over “The Red Ensign” to my first commission client.
The brief was only – the red ensign flag – the flag of the Merchant Navy as he is a retired officer.
I thought it was too obvious to put the flag on a ship but with my style of crowds and flags I immediately thought of The Mall and that famous view of flags and crowds leading to Buckingham Palace.
I’m pleased with the result, but better still, the client loves it! I hope you do too.
